Exporting an .omf
First, it is important that all of your sound files and tracks are organized. Please follow these instructions for media management and organization before exporting the .omf file.
Adobe Premiere
After you've opened up your project in Premiere use the Timeline panel and select the sequence you need to export. Go to >File > Export > OMF The OMF Export Settings dialog box pop up type the project title for the OMF file into the OMF Title field. Choose the project Sample Rate and Bits Per Sample unless otherwise specified select 48k , 24bit Encapsulate use this unless specified otherwise With this setting, Premiere Pro exports an OMF file containing the project metadata and all the audio for the selected sequence. Encapsulated OMF files typically are large. Separate Audio alternative (would only select if something goes wrong trying to encapsulate files in one container) With this setting, Premiere Pro exports individual mono AIF files into an _omfiMediaFiles folder. The folder name contains the OMF filename. Using AIF files assures maximum compatibility with legacy audio systems.
This way Premiere Pro exports only the portions of each clip that are used in the sequence: the clip instances. You can choose to export each clip instance with extra length, handles, added to the start and end of the file.
With this setting, Premiere Pro exports audio for the entirety of each clip used in the sequence, no matter how many times the clip is used nor how many parts of the clip are used. |
